In a world rife with instability and uncertainty, the pursuit of true peace becomes a top priority. But have you ever wondered what true peace means beyond a peaceful mind and heart? Join us on an exploration of the great notion of peace, exploring its many connotations and learning how to develop it in all aspects of our life.
Protecting, Growing, and Flourishing the Peace Seed
We discovered the vast reach of God's peace in the last episode, a heavenly gift that affects not just our hearts and minds but also our health, relationships, wealth, and security. Peace, like a seed sown in the fertile soil of our souls, requires maintenance in order to flourish fully.
Protecting Your Inner Sanctuary: Just as a vigilant gardener protects a tender sprout from pests, you must protect the seed of peace within you. The enemy, like a devious thief, strives to steal this priceless gift by instilling doubts, anxieties, and distractions. Maintain your faith by concentrating on Jesus' unfailing love.
Cultivating Intimacy with Jesus: Imagine a lush garden where each plant is lovingly cared for on a daily basis. Similarly, your relationship with Jesus must be nurtured on a daily basis. Make time to read and meditate on His Word, to pray, to worship, and to fellowship with other believers. These practices develop a deep connection, which grows your peace.
Practising God's Presence: Much like the unscripted growth that occurs underground before a seedling emerges, practising God's Presence entails unscripted moments of communion. You draw God's tangible presence throughout the day with short, spontaneous, heartfelt praises, sustaining your inner peace.
Peace that Speaks: The Authority of Blessing
The concept of peace is consistent throughout the Bible, from the Old to the New Testament. You have the ability to evoke God's peace over situations and people around you, just like Aaron did.
Speaking Peace in the Bible: Jesus exemplified speaking peace to His disciples, producing a wave of calm in their midst. Mark, Luke, and John's gospels demonstrate Jesus' dominion over storms and His bestowal of peace on others.
Paul's Apostolic Blessing: Paul always begins his letters with blessings of grace and peace. His practice is similar to Aaron's in that he invokes God's peace over the receivers. The same blessing can spread to people you meet through your words.

Unleash the Authority of Peace
As believers, we're entrusted with the authority to release peace into turbulent situations. The Gospels recount Jesus' command to the wind and sea, demonstrating His dominion over nature. It's important to note that authority is exercised over situations orchestrated by the enemy, not against human will.
Using Authority with Wisdom: In situations involving human will, exercising authority requires discernment. The wisdom of God guides us to approach with love and understanding. While we don't rebuke individuals, we can trust God to work in hearts and circumstances.
