Welcome to our Discovering True Peace series, in which we will look at how to find enduring peace in the midst of life's ups and downs.

We examined two kinds of peace in the previous episode. One is peace that the world offers, which is conditional and transitory. The other is God's peace, which is permanent and unshakeable even in the face of affliction. This series explores God's enduring peace.

But how do we achieve this peace? Let's find out today.

Remember, Jesus is the Prince of Peace. Having Jesus in your life means having peace. How do we keep Jesus with us at all times in order to have enduring peace? The solution is simple: walk in agreement with Him.

In Amos 3:3, the Bible asks, "Can two walk together, unless they are agreed?" To walk in agreement with Jesus, we must first comprehend His true nature.

Jesus is the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. He is the absolute ruler of the universe. So, who is required to agree with whom? In contrast to dictators, Jesus is a benevolent King. He came to help people.

On the cross, He bore our burdens—sins, poverty, diseases, and more—in exchange for His peace, joy, love, and blessings. Jesus, the epitome of God's love, exemplifies unconditional love.

Our main problem is sin. There was no sin when God created man. Adam and Eve lived in an endless state of joy, free of sickness, misery, and death. However, disobedience introduced sin, robbing them of their tranquility and blessings.

Through His Son, Jesus, God promised restoration. To walk with Jesus, do the following:

  1. We must confess our sinfulness to God and accept Jesus' sacrifice for forgiveness and reconciliation. We transition from Satan's reign to God's Kingdom. What exactly is sin? In the Bible, sin is defined as missing the mark or disobeying God's commandment. Immorality, envy, and selfishness are a few examples.
  2. We must accept God’s solution for our sinfulness. Jesus is the only solution God has provided for our sin problem. Jesus came and died on the cross for us. He was buried and He rose again from the dead. He is God’s sacrifice for our sins. Everyone has sinned, yet there is still hope in Jesus. According to Romans 6:23, Jesus' gift provides eternal life. According to John 14:6, Jesus is the only way to the Father.

To summarize, accept God's forgiveness for your sinful nature and Jesus' cure. Confess your sins to Jesus for forgiveness, and you will become God's child. Are you ready to side with God on these issues? If so, let us pray.

Please say this after me:

Dear Lord,

I acknowledge my sinfulness and need for forgiveness.

I believe in Your atonement for my sins.

I gratefully accept Your gift of eternal life.

As my Savior and Lord, I welcome You into my heart.

Thank you for forgiving me and giving me the gift of eternal life and peace.

In the name of Jesus, Amen.

If you genuinely prayed, God will forgive you, adopt you as His child, and give you His peace. Your path to peace begins right now.

See you in the next episode.
