Why Can’t I Get My Breakthrough? Introduction
Welcome to the "Why Can't I Get My Breakthrough?" series. I am Dr. Mehrban Chawla, a minister of inner healing and deliverance. I'm here to help you understand and overcome the obstacles that may be impeding your progress.
In life, we frequently meet people who, when they are vulnerable, disclose their troubles. They've struggled with problems for years, looking for solutions in vain. They are stuck despite attempting various ways and consulting experts, counsellors, and professionals.
These difficulties might manifest in a variety of areas of life. It could be related to health. Maintaining ideal health appears to be unachievable. Some people may be unable to accumulate enough wealth to enjoy a stress-free retirement and leave a legacy for their loved ones. Others grapple with maintaining healthy relationships, feeling isolated and lonely.
Perhaps, you're in this situation.
Over the past two decades, my wife and I have assisted numerous individuals in finding their freedom from such challenges.
I recall a valuable piece of advice from my time at a school of ministry in Georgia, USA. The director, Michael Ellis, shared wisdom that remains relevant today. He emphasized that if you've prayed for someone repeatedly without seeing results, consider checking three specific areas of their life. Resolving issues in these areas often leads to breakthroughs.
Here are the three critical areas to assess:
- Relationship with Parents: Examine the individual's upbringing and their connection with their parents. Many of us carry wounds from our childhood experiences, and these can impact our lives significantly.
- Sexual Purity: In today's culture, sexual purity is often disregarded. However, it plays a crucial role in our spiritual and emotional well-being. Sexual purity involves abstaining from sexual activities outside the boundaries of marriage.
- Involvement in Occult or Idolatry: Delving into occult practices or idolatry can invite negative spiritual influences into one's life, leading to oppression.
Most of us have probably dealt with challenges in these areas at some point in our lives. There is, nevertheless, hope. Jesus came to set us free by bearing our sins on the cross. By putting our trust in Him, we can be forgiven and become God's children with eternal life.

If you've never trusted in Jesus or moved away from Him, I urge you to be reconciled to Him. Pray to Him and ask Him to forgive you your sins. Receive Jesus into your life making Him your Lord and Savior. Once you have prayed, I would suggest you do the following: -
- Find a Bible.
- Pray every day.
- Find a Bible-believing church in your area.
We'll go through each of these three topics in detail in the future episodes. We'll work together to solve them so you can have the breakthrough you've been looking for.
