Welcome to Transform Your Inner World, Episode 13: How to Discover Kingdom Principles.

In the previous episode, we looked at some of the underlying principles or laws of God's Kingdom, especially from the book of Genesis. These principles offer vital insights into how God's Kingdom works and how we can spend our lives in accordance with these eternal truths. However, you may be wondering, "How can I uncover these Kingdom principles for myself?"

Allow me to share my journey as well as some practical strategies to assist you in discovering the hidden jewels of the Bible.

First and foremost, a personal relationship with Jesus Christ is required. It is not enough to simply know about Him; you must also know Him intimately.

Let me explain with a personal example. During his Master of Arts studies in India, my father came upon the Bible as a textbook. He meticulously studied it, presuming he was familiar with its contents. His grasp of the Bible, however, did not imply a true relationship with God.

Similarly, during Jesus' day, highly educated religious leaders frequently failed to relate to Him, although regular people accepted His teachings. Knowing something about someone is not the same as knowing them personally.

If you are resisting a personal relationship with Jesus, it is possible that your pride is to blame. Humbling yourself, admitting your need for a Saviour, and welcoming Jesus into your life can give you eternal life and change the trajectory of your life. If you're unsure about your relationship with God, consider the prayer in Episode 2 of this series; it could be a game changer.

Now that you've accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour, let's look at how you can delve deep into the Bible to discover Kingdom principles:

Confirm Your Personal Relationship with Jesus: Make certain that you have a true, personal relationship with Jesus. Even if you were raised in a Christian home, your faith should be your own.

Receive Water Baptism: If you haven't already, find a Bible-believing church and get baptised in water. It is an important step in your spiritual path.

Receive the Holy Spirit Baptism: You have the Holy Spirit abiding within you as a born-again believer. Being filled with the Holy Spirit, on the other hand, is a life-changing experience. Seek this infilling if you want to have a deeper and more intimate relationship with God and experience the supernatural power of God in and through your life.

Practice Regular Fasting: Begin with modest fasting periods, such as once a week, and devote the extra time to Bible study, prayer, and worship.

Commit to Personal Bible Study: Approach Bible study with an open mind. Request comprehension from the Holy Spirit and make it a daily practice, even if it's just one chapter every day. Start with the New Testament, especially the Gospels.

Participate Actively in Church & Bible Study Class: Bring a Bible and a notebook to church or Bible study. Take thorough notes, as if you were studying for an exam. Use the same discipline as you would in your personal study, and seek the Holy Spirit to illuminate your knowledge.

Seize Learning Opportunities: Attend seminars and special lessons that coincide with the views of your Bible-believing church. Take notes and engage fully in these sessions. Your participation in this teaching series is one example of you seizing an opportunity to learn more of God’s Word. Congratulations!

Share Your Thoughts: Share what you've learned with your spiritual mentors, such as your pastor or the leader of your Bible study group. Seek their advice and improve your comprehension.

Teach Others: Share your expertise with others when the occasion arises. Make sure that you  are already applying what you plan to teach. Teaching allows you to apply what you've learned and increases your understanding. Always approach teaching with humility, accepting your limitations, as you know that you don’t have all the answers.

I've learned a lot about the Bible by following these methods. Remember that pride can be your greatest impediment. In your journey of discovering Kingdom values, remain humble and receptive to further progress.

Give these steps a shot and let me know how they go. You can post your thoughts on this page.
